Four Minute Warning
by Neil Sinclair

@ 7.00pm
Price: $15
Bookings: At the venue, Moshtix or
Festival Hub Box Office.

It is 1966. England is a derelict wasteland. The BBC's Emergency Broadcast System is our only hope. Let's see who's on line one.
Four Minute Warning takes a look at history and gets it wrong. Germany won WWII with nuclear weapons. England's survivors are living in bunkers. Albert is defiant. Ted is bored.
What happens when the stiff upper lip starts to quiver? The mindset is outdated. The situation is dire. Four Minute Warning is hilarious.

Tall Stories
by Imaan
Thursday Feb 4th - Saturday 6th Feb
@ 8.30pm
Price: $15
Bookings: At the venue, Moshtix or
Festival Hub Box Office. |
Tall Stories is a show featuring the next big thing in comedy... Imaan.
Imaan has been around the circuit for nearly 5 years, beginning with him winning Class Clowns ’05. This boosted his career and he has since performed all over Australia and the UK, including being the youngest stand up comedian in Australia to perform in The NRL Footy Show and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.
Unlike other acts Imaan poses a particularly fascinating comedic subject as he is a number of minorities rolled into one. He is a short statured Lebanese Zoroastrian. Maybe the last bit is made up. Tall Stories is the first solo show from the man who is brother to Itsy Bitsy Rima the bellydancer.
Imaan, being of a short stature and of Lebanese descent, faces daily battles with people’s general ignorance and stupid questioning. In Tall Stories, Imaan answers all your ignorant questions. Maybe after seeing his show, you won’t be such a chump. |

"Voulez-vous laugh avec moi?”
Berty doesn't pretend to be French or arrogant, he really is. Berty Cadilhac is a skilled migrant from France. Well, by his own admission he actually has average baby-sitting skills, poor Facebook skills, and terrible shopping skills. His real talent lies in playing paper-scissors-chicken vindaloo, wearing a sea-urchin costume, and moon sleep walking.
Berty Cadilhac left Paris in 1996, to live in Dublin, Amsterdam, Singapore, Bangkok, Sydney and now Melbourne.
After studying screenwriting and acting at NIDA, he wrote and produced two short movies, and now works as a stand up comedian in Australia.
"A surreal approach and offbeat tone." - The Advertiser. |
